Personal Statement

I am a Division I transfer freshman from Saint Peter's University and I have an Honors 4.0 GPA.

I am a versatile player that typically plays a withdrawn forward role where my field vision and creativity can create opportunities and score goals. However, I will excel in any attack-minded role. I also excel at set pieces and have been a consistent goal scorer and typically lead a team with assists. I pride myself on my technical abilities, soccer knowledge, and field vision. I aspire to play professionally and consistently strive to be the best player I can possibly be. My work ethic and dedication towards soccer and school is unwavering as I will do whatever it takes to always put the best version of myself forward. Another important aspect of my personality is that I'm a die hard Manchester United fan. GGMU!

Andrew Kewley – Director of Girls Soccer, Colorado Rapids “Jen is a soccer player from the purest sense.  Labeling someone a ‘Soccer player’ happens way too often in our profession.  When it comes to Jen, however, it is an accurate description.  Her technical abilities, and tactical qualities, allow her to play any attacking minded role in a team.  Her coachability, creativity and desire to win make her a top player.”  – Fall 2012

Dietmar Mertel – a U.S. and European Soccer Scout from Germany residing in Colorado. “Jen is a skillful player with vision and talent to score, with smart passing, smart running through anticipation, very good passing, good headers, good through passes, to the point set pieces and good speed for separation. Jen can engage on the field and in practices to work very hard and she knows when and how to relax. First steps can be improved through practice (speed). Jen watches soccer whenever possible on the field or on TV.” – Fall 2012

Jon Haarsager, Broomfield Soccer Club – U17 Division-I Soccer Coach – Holy Family High School Soccer Coach.  “Jennifer is very athletic. She has speed, is very agile, has poise on the ball, and can be very creative with the ball at her feet. Jennifer sees the field very well, looks for space and angles, and creates opportunities for both herself and her teammates. Jennifer is a proven goal scorer as she has been at the top or close to it on both her club teams and high school team.”

“Jennifer can be quiet but leads by example when she is on the field. Jennifer is very coachable and takes direction very well. Jennifer is well liked by her teammates and is a humble person as she does not let success go to her head. Jennifer is always striving to be a better soccer player and her work ethic is very admirable. Jennifer would be a great asset to any soccer team that has interest in her. Jennifer has been a guest player on my team even though we are an older team for her. She has played in several tournaments for us and has done extremely well.”   – Spring - 2012
