Personal Statement
My goals as an athlete are to compete at a high level of soccer and have confidence in myself and my decisions as well as other's decisions whether we are on or off the field. An aspiration of mine is to strengthen my mental and physical fitness because I feel that if individually one is strong then, the whole team can then become stronger. I believe I am a good candidate for your team because I have strong leadership skills and enjoy pushing myself and others to be the best athlete they can be. Compared to other recruits, I am well balanced in my academics and athletics and I am committed to being successful in both areas. I hold a strong sense of leadership and would definitely call myself a team player. I believe a team isn't dependent on one player and everyone has to be able to pull their weight on the team and not rely on one or a few players to win it all. As a student and an athlete, I pride myself on my leadership skills and my ability to be there for my team when they need me most and for that, I feel that I am a great candidate for your team.
