My name is Brynna Tinnirella and I have been in love of the game of soccer for as long as I can remember. I played with CFC for five years, playing and starting on the NPL team for three of those years. Recently, I've transitioned into Oakwood Soccer Club. The Fall of my freshman year, I was starting striker for my high school team that finished second in our conference and made it to the state semi-finals. This experience being a part of a high achieving team made a strong impact on me. It showed me just how successful one can be with the combination of grit and teamwork. I've also been involved with other athletics in my town. I was a top runner and captain for my middle school cross country team, starting shortstop and captain of the softball team, played travel basketball, ran indoor track for Suffield High and had plans to play softball for Suffield High in the spring of 2020. I've earned the coach's award and MVP at Connecticut Soccer Academy in the two years I attended the camp that operated in partnership with Dan Gaspar's SGA. I have been commended by many coaches on how well I take and apply their feedback. My interests are not limited to athletics as I have had a lead role in four school musicals, participated in the Dylan's Wingman Program, teach religious education and am a member of youth ministry at Sacred Heart Parish, and am an active member of class council. I constantly aspire to help others and these activities allow me to do so.
Not only do I strive for excellence on the soccer field, I find the same ambition in the classroom. I have maintained straight A's my entire academic career and have been awarded high honor roll all throughout middle school and high school thus far. In eighth grade, I received the CAS Scholar Leader Award. I am looking for a program that will help me continue to learn and play at the highest level.
My biggest goal since I was in fifth grade has been to play college soccer. I've dreamt of stepping onto a gorgeous pitch with a college name written across my jersey. It continues to be something that drives me every day and motivates me to improve all aspects of my game. I believe my passion and relentless work ethic academically and athletically will help me to achieve this.
