I found the love of soccer when I was 3 years old while watching my older family members play. By age 8 I found an even deeper love as a Goal Keeper. I love the competition, working with my team, the skill, and training that is required to be a goalie. Through playing on various teams and learning from various coaching styles, I have learned an even deeper meaning of what it means to be on a team, how to take criticism, how to learn from my mistakes, the 110% required along with sacrificing free time. My Goalie trainer, who I get up at 7 am sessions every Saturday morning, has helped me to better my skills in kicking, punting, hand and footwork, and how to make myself bigger in the goal so not to lose those high balls.
Through the enjoyment of playing various sports, my dream occupation is to become a Physical Therapist with a Sports Medicine focus. I am looking for a program that will allow me to achieve my dream while playing on the Women’s Soccer team. I believe I have what it takes to compete at the college level while working on my career path.
