Mercedes Petro '22 Recruiting Profile

My name is Mercedes Petro, I am a 16 years old student athlete juggling good grades, soccer, athletic training, my job at the gym, and other extra curriculars. Nothing has compared to soccer though, I've had a passion for this sport since I was 6 years old.  My goal is to continue playing soccer at a collegiate level because there's no way next year could be my last. I also plan to go down the athletic training educational path along side soccer. Soccer has always been the most consistent aspect in my life, even when school went on summer break, soccer never stopped. 

Constructive criticism is something I have always appreciated. I thrive off advice for bettering myself on the field and in the classroom. Ive been coached by professional players from all over the world including coaches from Mexico, Russia, and England. Each coach has taught me something new, from discipline, to ball touch, and even tactical plays. Not only do I push to better myself from coaches but also my teammates and teachers. 

Through all my experiences I’ve always known the next step for me is to continue playing soccer in college.
