Personal Statement
I have been playing soccer since I was 7 years old and it's my absolute passion. I started as a forward and did not start playing the keeper position until 7th grade and I absolutely fell in love with the position! I drove myself to learn everything I could about that position and excelled very quickly! I would love to continue this passion in the collegiate level because I know collegiate soccer is where you get to make life long friends, have a great experience, and to continue my education while playing a sport I love.
As a goalkeeper not only do I have good hands, my foot work is good, and I have excellent communication skills. I like to challenge myself in training, which is why I incorporated foot work into training. I feel at the collegiate level all goalkeepers need to know how to use proper foot work. I also like to put in extra training hours whether it be extra time with my goalkeeper coach or just working out at home by myself.
I am a volunteer coach at Columbia Youth Soccer Academy in Lake City, Florida and love coaching kids the game of soccer. I would love to turn my passion of coaching into a career one day which is why I want to Major in Physical Education and Coaching.
I am open minded when it comes to what college I want to attend. I just want to find a college that feels like home and want to play with a team that acts like family because I feel that a teams bond is whats important.
