My name is Alyssa Tobiassen and I am a junior(class of 2022) at Palm Harbor University High School(2500+ students), in Palm Harbor, Florida. In 2018-19, I lettered in Varsity cross country and was 1 of 3 freshman girls who made the 21 member varsity soccer team. The 2018-19 PHU varsity girls soccer team won the Pinellas County Championship, the Regional Championship, and the Florida Class 5A(2500+ students) State Soccer Championship. In 22019-20, our PHU varsity soccer team finished 15-2-2, losing in regionals to Plant H.S. I usually play attacking or outside midfield for my club soccer team, the Clearwater Chargers. In High School and Club I have played holding, center, attacking, and outside midfield positions, depending on the opposition, formation and situation. Although not Albert Einstein smart, I had straight A's in 8th grade and carry a 3.7 unweighted GPA to date in the IB program at PHU. I believe my success in school, soccer, and cross country are due to my determination, hard work ethic, and competitive nature. My outside interests include church related activities such as youth group, a contemporary music band, and frequent babysitting. I also belong to Key Club at my high school which provides active volunteering at local charity events and programs. Of course, I additionally enjoy time hanging out with my friends and my soccer teammates. I hope to go to an academically strong school that has a liberal arts or architecture program and play soccer for an intelligent, competitive, and talented coach who runs a successful program.
