Personal Statement

I am more than committed to reaching my goals, and reaching my highest level possible. I believe I am different from other players because I have a true heart for the game with an undeniable passion for the sport. Hearing criticism from my coaches, I believe helps me become a better player. I find that coaches that like to educate their players on the game and coaches that push their players are the right coaches for me.

I began playing soccer at the age of 2 years old. I have played from peewee to academy then at the age of 11 I made my first competitive soccer team at Fishhawk Soccer Club. I played at Fishhawk until I reached the age of 15 years old. I played 2 years of competitive soccer at Tampa Bay United. Now I am 17 years old at West Florida Flames on the u18/19 DA team and I want to play soccer at the highest level I can. I have a true passion for this sport, and I take each and every training/game seriously.

I have gone through obstacles in my career but I always work hard to overcome them. More specifically, I have struggled this past year technically with the ball and my speed of play. However, over the past 3 years I have been participating in a program called Captainelite, which has helped me greatly with my play. I have taken videos of myself during the Captainelite training sessions, where I train on my own and watch videos and train on skills on a schedule. I practice these about 6 days a week. Watching these videos from the past few months and seeing my progression has really impacted me and my confidence on the ball, something that will help me greatly in this upcoming season at my new club.

To this day I continue to work as much as I can on the ball, so that I may implement my learned skills into the game. I truly want to grow in my game and achieve my goals that I set for myself, despite the challenges I may face. I hope I can be seen as a candidate for your team!

Thank you, Chloe Murphy

Training

  • Team training
  • 10 years
  • Usually 3-4 days a week. The club offers agility sessions and technical sessions in additional. I attend the agility sessions and the the technical sessions on days I do not have team trainings.
  • Captain elite
  • 2 years
  • Technical training organization that focuses on the speed of play of players. I have began this experience during 2016 and I plan to conitinue it during my soccer career. This training site focuses in the "train everywhere" ability. I train almost anywhere I can when I am on the go, and I have found that this has helped my play greatly on the field. This training is usually done after practice for 30-45 minutes, or on days off for at least 2 hours.
  • Self training
  • 10 years
  • I train on my own from my team because I believe self training is crucial mentally and physically on the field. I try to train as much as I can, but I also take care of my body so I prevent any injuries from training too much. I usually work on captain elite, and I mix in some drills I see from camps, coaches, and other soccer resources to practice to better my game. I also mix in some conditioning and this includes anything from sprinting, to intervals, long distance, agility, leg drills, and ab drills. I am now trying to incorporate some arm drills.

Additional Sports
