I am an extremely dedicated, hard working, passionate person and player. I love playing the game of soccer and the camaraderie from being on a cohesive team. I began playing when I was eight years old on a boys team, and loved to compete with them. My uncle, both my cousins, my dad, and my grandfather played soccer, so I have been surrounded by the atmosphere my whole life. Throughout the years I have played, I am learning that I need to work hard and be passionate about anything I choose to do. I have also learned that I am willing to endure hardships and push through them to continue to play my sport. I transitioned from a CDL league to ECNL about 2 years ago. The transition challenged me, but I fought through and came out better. Last year, I was chosen to be on the DA team, but I was injured and could not play for half the year. Nevertheless, I am stronger and completely healthy and cannot wait for this year to seize the missed opportunities from last year, and create new opportunities for myself and my team.
I was homeschooled from third to eighth grade and decided to go in to the IB program for high school. The high school advisers reviewed my homeschool work and told me I could start high school as a sophomore instead of a freshman. Therefore, I am a young junior, which allows me additional time to improve my capabilities on the field.
