Personal Statement

I am a skilled and technical player who is quick to the ball, and who makes quick decisions.  I am not frantic or erratic and never play out of position. I am confident and determined and play controlled under pressure. I am vocal and communicative and help my teammates.  I am coachable and willing and able to learn and to assume different roles on the field.  On offense I am a playmaker and on defense I am a disruptor.    I am the hardest worker on any team on which I have played and I am not afraid to adapt to whatever my coach may want me to do at any position I am playing.  I am looking for a college with a competitive soccer team, where the "team concept" is emphasized.  I seek to be effective and make an impact when on the field. I am a technically sound player with a high game/tactical IQ and play with an edge.  I am committed to playing in college and am on my school's weightlifting team because I love weightlifting and it helps me as a shorter player to match up against bigger, taller players.  I never back down from a challenge and will match any player's speed, skill or aggressiveness to dominate, and will never be outworked.

I primarily play Holding Mid (6) and Fullback/OB (2 and 3)  and have done so in multiple formations.   As a HM, I see my defensive responsibility to prevent attacks through the middle and to disrupt passes and gameplay, and I must be positionally responsible. When attacking I set up the plays and work to create space as an outlet for passing to move the ball down the middle, move it out of pressure, create switches and send through balls.  As an OB I excel in 1 v. 1's.

I take all Honors and AP classes.

I started playing soccer at age 4 and have been playing at the elite travel level for 10 years.  Before aging out, I was an Alabama ODP Player.  I will play any position and am often moved around the field to strengthen different areas.  Although the youngest with an early birthday, I have always played "up" on older teams.   In 8th and 9th Grade I played both JV and Varsity and upon playing Varsity in 10th Grade I have now received two VARSITY LETTERS.

In 2022, I was asked to join the Dothan Shockers 04G team that plays only in College ID Showcases and tournaments.  In the past, I have played travel/elite soccer for Tallahassee Tottenham Hotspurs, Florida Elite Tallahassee and in 2021 I joined the Gulf Coast Texans 06G Travel Team.

I challenge myself on and off the field to always be a better player, teammate and leader, and that is why I received a personal invite to both the ODP South Inter-Regional Scouting and College Combine for 2021 and 2022 and the 2021 USYS ODP South Regional ID Invitational.

I train 5 days per week, with additional sessions with a personal trainer.

When I am not doing homework or training, I work pre-K and K kids at my school, read and watch sports.

  • Soccer Youth All American Series
  • 7/29/21 to 8/01/21
  • I was nominated and selected for a second year in a row to play these games against some of the best players in the country. My team won the Championship and it was a great event. I started all games and played the most. No one wanted to play defense so I volunteered and shut down my player in every game where no shots were taken when I was on ball.
  • Camp/Event
  • Florida Southern College Women's ID Camp
  • 7/24/21 to 7/24/21
  • This will be my second camp. Very excited as I really like the school, coaches and the girls on the team. It was very challenging and the level of competition was great. I was one of the youngest players in attendance but received most of the playing time for the team I played on.

  • Camp/Event
  • Nova Southeastern University 2021 Women's Elite ID Camp
  • 6/26/21 to 6/27/21
  • This was very intense expereince of constant training and gameplay. I was the youngest player in attendance but received over a half of gameplay in each 11v.11 scrimmage, and did well against my older teammates. I played Holding Mid, Outside Back and for the first time, Attacking Mid.
  • Camp/Event
  • Florida Elite Soccer Association College ID Camp
  • 6/18/21 to 6/19/21
  • Camp/Event
  • ODP South Intraregional Scouting and College Combine
  • 6/05/21 to 6/06/21
  • I attended the Alabama ODP ID event and was selected to participate in this event, to which the top performers at the state level are invited to attend. This was an amazing opportunity to play with some of the best girls in the south. I worked hard, displayed technical skill, tactical awareness and was very vocal. My coaches knew my name from the beginning and I was only subbed out and according to my coach to replace a player to strengthen a different position. I demonstrated coachability and my willingness to learn.
  • Camp/Event
  • ASG Capital Cup
  • 5/22/21 to 5/23/21
  • My team won the tournament in our age bracket. I played Holding Mid primarily and spent some time at Center Back when the defense was breaking down and coach asked me to step in. The Championship game was physical but I shut down the center of the field and played a very physical game. My passing and decision making were excellent (so says my coach) and my long balls and through balls were on target and timed well.
  • Camp/Event
  • Trident Cup
  • 5/15/21 to 5/16/21
  • My team were runners-up after losing in penalty kicks. It was really good game and I played Holding Mid and some at Fullback for the tournament.
  • Camp/Event
  • Players Cup
  • 4/24/21 to 4/25/21
  • Camp/Event
  • Alabama Peanut Cup
  • 4/24/21 to 4/25/21
  • Due to bad storms we played only on Sunday and not in a true tournament format. I played 6 for all of our games and was commended for my physicality, holding the ball, quick decision making and first touch. I was also vocal and communicated well with my team mates.
  • Camp/Event
  • Exact Showcase College ID Camp
  • 4/18/21 to 4/18/21
  • I am very excited for this camp as I previously did one in Georgia. It pushes you to work harder and gives a good idea of college expectations. This was everything I expected, and in being evaluated (by Coach Arias from Florida Southern College), I was graded at 92 points out of 100, which I was told surpassed even high school juniors and seniors.
  • Camp/Event
  • Alabama ODP Training and ID Center
  • 4/17/21 to 4/18/21
  • This will be my second camp and I am looking forward to it. The coaching was great and it was a terrific experience. I played the 6 position and also the 2 position. They liked my physicality and quick first touch. We played a three back line and many of my team mates had not, so I assisted them in moving and positioning throughout.
  • Camp/Event
  • Nova Southeastern University 2021 Women's Elite ID Camp
  • 4/10/21 to 4/10/21
  • I received an invite through NCSA to attend this camp! I am very excited as NSU is on my list of target schools to pursue my higher education and athletic career. I was the youngest participant and handled it very well. The coaches were surprised that I am a high school freshman and though I played 6, I excelled at the 2 position also. They played a three back line and having worked it with my travel club and studied it by watching games, I knew what to do when put into the 2 spot. The liked that I was very vocal and communicated well on the field.
  • Camp/Event
  • FSI Tournament
  • 3/27/21 to 3/28/21
  • Camp/Event
  • Alabama ODP Training and ID Center
  • 3/20/21 to 3/21/21
  • I attended the training and ID camp and was selected to join the Alabama ODP program. I am very excited at the prospect of competing with and against some of the top players in our region.
  • Camp/Event
  • Florida Southern College Women's ID Camp
  • 3/14/21 to 3/14/21
  • I am very interested in attending college in Florida and having researched Florida Southern, it is a school in which I am very interested in pursuing my degree(s) and playing on their women's soccer team. I was the youngest participant in the camp and thoroughly enjoyed it. I got a great feel for the school and the team. The playing alignment (3-4-3) is not too familiar to me but I was able to get a lot of playing time and was effective in my technical footwork, I was very vocal and my passing was spot on. The team members who trained us were very helpful and gave a lot of good insight on playing college and balancing school and sports. I will definitely be going back.
  • Camp/Event
  • ODP Pool Training
  • 2/13/21 to 2/14/21
  • Camp/Event
  • ODP Pool Training
  • 1/03/21 to 1/03/21
  • I really enjoyed this training. My coach was impressed that I played the 6 position as well as I did and of my understanding of the position. I was a playmaker, took space and drove the ball when appropriate, but was always first defender and pressured the ball with physicality. My technical footwork was commended and my communication was used as an example.
  • Camp/Event
  • Soccer Youth All American Golden Cup
  • 12/30/20 to 1/02/21
  • I was invited to play in this tournament because of my performance in the All American Tournament in Panama City, FL, and my selection as an All-Star for that tournament. This was a terrific event. I asked to play in positions outside of my comfort zone and was told that I excelled. I was a shut down defender and a playmaker when in the middle. I had a few shots when playing at forward and focused on my first touch and my passing.
  • Camp/Event
  • Valdosta State Women's Soccer December ID Camp
  • 12/12/20 to 12/12/20
  • Camp/Event
  • ODP Pool Training
  • 12/05/20 to 12/06/20
  • It was my first ODP Pool practice! It was very fast and the girls are all very good, and I fit well with them. I played Center Mid and Fullback. I was aggressive played quickly. I was communicative, and played unselfishly by distributing the ball quickly and accurately.
  • Camp/Event
  • Exact Showcase College ID Camp
  • 11/23/20 to 11/23/20
  • This was very intense event with a lot of training and a lot of games, packed into one day. I played center-mid and then was moved to wide mid and fullback. I had a lot of fun and was commended for my technical skills, teamwork, creativity and my passing. I was evaluated by Coach Mike Joy of Tusculum College, and graded very high especially as a 9th grader in a camp of mostly high school seniors. They were impressed by my ability to use both feet and how vocal I was. It was a great experience and and I will continue to hone my skills and prepare for college.
  • Camp/Event
  • UFA Fall Classic
  • 11/21/20 to 11/22/20
  • Most of the teams backed out of this event so we did not have many games. I played center-mid and center back but our team had to use a few younger players to fill out our roster. I helped them and was vocal and I excelled on the field having started and played in all games.
  • Camp/Event
  • Blue Angel Classic
  • 10/10/20 to 10/11/20
  • Due to the hurricane, there were no other teams in the bracket for the Florida Elite Tallahassee 06G, so we played up and competed in the "U16 Girls Gold" Bracket. I started every game and played Holding Mid and then played Center Back when one of our players was injured and I was asked to reinforce the back line. I competed hard, played most of every game, and I scored in the first game while playing Holding Mid. When I played Center Back, our defense gave up 2 goals in two games. We earned the Silver Medals having lost in the Championship Game to an older team.
  • Camp/Event
  • Soccer Youth All American Series
  • 7/30/20 to 8/02/20
  • I was nominated and then invited to play in this tournament made up of players from around the country. In the tournament I started and played in all games and was eventually selected as an All Star to play in the All Star Game!
  • Camp/Event
  • University of West Florida Women ID Camp
  • 2/23/20 to 2/23/20
  • I liked this camp and the intensity of the training. As an 8th grader, I did well against my older peers even though I was the youngest.
  • Camp/Event
  • Owls Soccer Elite Winter ID Camp for Girls
  • 2/09/20 to 2/09/20
  • It snowed the night before the camp and it was the coldest weather I have ever played in. The camp consisted of high school juniors and seniors but I was a 13 year old 8th grader. There was one other girl of my age, but she left after the first hour. I loved the fast pace of the training and the drills and the large scrimmage at the end gave me a good idea of what to expect at the next level. They played us in different positions and I excelled at fullback even though I had not played there very much. They loved my passing and tenacity.
  • Camp/Event
  • University of Tampa Spring ID Clinic
  • 2/01/20 to 2/01/20
  • This was a terrific event. I loved the campus and school and we worked with some of the college players. They were really nice and surprised when I told them I was still only in 8th Grade. The coaching was excellent and I really worked hard and was commended for it, especially being only 13 years old.
  • Camp/Event
  • Auburn Soccer camp
  • 1/25/20 to 1/25/20
  • I was the youngest (13 years old) at the camp. Having been to a camp the prior week, I was ready for the pace and drills. I was commended for playing aggressively and for my accurate and timed passing. It showed me that even at this age I can do the training and I love it. The school was great!
  • Camp/Event
  • Mercer University Winter ID Camp
  • 1/19/20 to 1/19/20
  • I liked this camp and made sure I absorbed as much information as I could while training hard.
  • Camp/Event
  • University of Georgia Soccer Camp
  • 1/18/20 to 1/18/20
  • This was my first College soccer camp and I really enjoyed it. I was only 13 and in 8th Grade and the pace was faster than I ever trained and I got a good idea of what is required. The coaches and older players were impressed with how hard I worked and played hard and how I was able to keep up with the other girls even though I was the youngest. I was aggressive and did not back down from older, bigger, faster and stronger players. I played mainly midfield and some center back. I loved the school, coaches and training and cannot wait to go back!
  • Camp/Event
  • Paris Saint-Germain Academy USA Intensive Winter Camp
  • 1/02/20 to 1/04/20
  • This was an incredible experience. We trained the "PSG Way" and it was intense. We worked on a lot of technical stuff and how to quickly move the ball for rapid scoring opportunities. I earned my diploma and was one of the top girls at the entire camp. I was commended for my physicality, quickness, tactics, versatility and overall field awareness.
