My passion for soccer has been with me as long as I can remember. It was not until I moved to the United States that I realised it was such a large sport and that you can attend college playing soccer. When I realised that I have a chance of playing in a college, it became my drive and dream. Playing soccer in college would be a vast experience that I would never forget.
I have been part of the Development Academy (DA) for Weston F.C. for eight years and currently play for Sunrise S.C. division 1 team. My position is midfielder and defender; however, I can play any position that the team may need. I try to always take my training to the next level in order to grow and develop as a player.
Currently, I am a member of a school club called Latinos in Action, where we help other high schoolers that are unable to speak the language yet, do better at school and be a person that they can reach out to when in need. When I’m not involved with school, I volunteer with a program that helps individuals find employment.
My education is as important to me as soccer and investing in the best education is the ability to attend a University that aligns with my life goals such as majoring in Criminology or Computers Science. Having both options available within an University would be the perfect fit because it will allow me to keep exploring those areas before deciding about my future career.
