McKenna Nilan '24 Recruiting Profile

I am a rising Senior at Marist High School in Atlanta, GA. I am an honor roll student and have taken several AP courses. 

My interest is to Major in Business and Marketing in college.  I strive to equally succeed in both my academics and athletics. My interest is to Major in Business and Marketing in a college that is competitive and strives for excellence.

Playing soccer for the last fourteen years has helped me grow as an individual. It has taught me valuable life lessons and equipped me with the skills to be independent and successful. I am 5’11, 128 lbs, and a goalkeeper.  I play club soccer at NASA Top Hat. I have played on an USA International Team and I am currently on the varsity team for my school.

My varsity team won the 4A state championship my sophomore year and got second in the 6A state championship my junior season. We were also ranked second in the country last season. Last year my club team won the SCCL division and are moving up divisions for next season. GYS (Global Youth Sports) is the International Travel team I have been on since 2017. We have played in tournaments in Spain, Italy, and Denmark. We played in the Donosti Cup in San Sebastian, Spain in 2017. Next, we played in the San Marino Cup in Italy in 2019 and won the Bronze medal. In the Summer of 2022, we played in the Dana Cup in Denmark and finished in third place again. I advanced my team to the semi-finals through penalty kicks in the last two tournaments. Playing soccer internationally has developed my abilities immensely, and competing against some of the best teams in the world has defined me as a player today.
