Growing up in a military family has taught me to appreciate the people around me and the times we spend together. My family moved a lot over the years and while in my early years, the moves were exciting, as I grew older, they became difficult. Despite my frustrations with moving so frequently, it built my resiliency as I learned from every move and remained grounded because I had soccer as an outlet. These moves have made me mentally tough and taught me how to adapt to different personal situations, teammates, coaching philosophies and playing styles. These life experiences have shaped my outlook for my future, broadened my knowledge of the game and drawn me closer to the sport I already love.
This summer and leading up to my senior season, I plan to get stronger, faster, improve my ball skills and leadership abilities. Academically, I plan to complete 9 semester hours at Gwinnett Technical College to improve my GPA and overall class standing as I prepare myself for the focus and rigor required to attain a Chemical Engineering degree in college. This season, my athletic goal is to improve myself physically and mentally, with the expectations of improving my on the field play to be better for my team and to improve our standing in region and in state competition.
Thank you for taking this time to learn a little about me and I hope to hear from you soon. Take care!
