I'd say my biggest accomplishment in soccer was making my high school varsity team as a freshman. Even though my freshman experience was cut short due to COVID-19, I consider this time off the time that I grew the most personally, but also in terms of soccer. During the lockdown I realized that soccer was something I wanted to pursue in college and that I have never been so passionate about anything before. I am willing to put hours of work in no matter the weather, time or difficulty because I know this is a long journey and everything I do now increase my chances of being the best I can possibly be. I learned that I had to drive to push myself and even my teammates around me to do anything necessary to make it not just in soccer but in the tough world I am soon to be released into after high school . I credit my passion to the little girl I once was that learned to love a sport she never thought she would. I was transformed from a pretty little gymnast to a sweaty soccer player that fell in love with the rush of being in a team environment and not only competing for yourself, but the ten other players on the pitch. This sport has taught me many lessons that I have been able to implement into the real world. One of the biggest ones is grit. Grit is necessary to be successful in anything because "if it was easy everyone would be able to do it." This quote has helped me through the toughest times in my life. In my academics, I have always taken the hardest courses available to me and have had to learn how to balance my athletics and academics while still excelling at both. My goal is to be able to get a scholarship to a school that not only will provide me the grounds to help me continue to grow in soccer, but also a school that is capable of pushing me academically.
