One of my collegiate goals is to play in a competitive atmosphere of soccer where I can not only challenge players but be challenged by players to be a better player. I love the competition and even if I may not win, I know in the end I am becoming a better player through the process. I am very coachable, and while I might be hurt in the moment if a coach is mad at me, that pushes me harder to be better and not shut down. I am very flexible with positions and, even if I’m not on the field, I am finding and observing new ways to be better in my position. I would like to play at a D1 school that offers a competitive and challenging atmosphere for soccer, but more importantly, I also want to be somewhere I can get a good education to become an athletic trainer.
I feel very accomplished playing at the ECNL level and still managing to maintain all A’s in my high school classes which include AP and dual enrollment classes. While I love playing soccer, I know that academic endeavors are more important in shaping my future than my athletic career. I also realize there are a lot of things I have yet to learn, and many things I need to improve on as I continue progressing and developing my play, and I am very eager and willing to put in the work.
