Emma Pittman '24 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Emma Pittman and I am a 2024 graduate at Newnan High school in Newnan, Georgia. 

I’ve been playing soccer since I was about 6, and fell in love with the sport. When I was about 8, I started playing as a goalkeeper, and I’ve love it ever since. I played on my middle school team in 7th grade and was captain in my 8th grade year. I joined my High School‘s juniors varsity team in 9th grade as a starting keeper. In my 10th grade year I also played on jv, but I became captain and also often played up on the varsity team. As far as my regular club team goes, I am it’s full time keeper. I play for SSA’s Chelsea 05 girls team, and I have been playing there for about 3 years now. On the side, I attend a goalkeeper training, called Southern Crescent Goalkeeper Academy, to get more directed practice. This occurs twice a week.

I am a very hardworking athlete who has a great passion for my sport. I enjoy playing at competitive levels to better my skills. I always make an effort to be there at practices every week and at our games and tournament. Also, I am always up for playing for other teams. The is all makes me a very coachable player. At my school, I take all advanced math, science, and literature classes. For the past year I have taken all AP history classes. I took AP Human Geography in 9th grade, AP European History in 10th grade, and AP US History in 11th grade. This year, I am also taking an AP Computer science class. I plan to take more advanced, AP, and dual enrollment classes next year, too! I often partake in extracurricular activities such as clubs. I am currently in Beta Club, National Honor Society, History Club, and SADD Club. I am a very hardworking person. I have managed to maintain an A average in all of my high school classes, and I am able to balance my school with my athletics. 

I don’t know what my future holds for me, but I would love the opportunity to play in college doing what I love!
