Personal Statement
To me soccer is so much more than a beautiful game. Soccer allows me to form friendships, be creative on the field, and compete to the best of my ability. I would like to play at a school that would allow me to thrive academically and athletically. Ideally, I want my teammates to be some of my closest friends during my college career and later in life. For all these reasons, I wish to continue playing soccer in college alongside gaining a meaningful education.
I love to learn which makes me a very teachable player who has a never-give-up attitude on and off the field. My work ethic makes me a passionate and driven player you won't find anywhere else. I elevate my team by playing a consistent attacking-minded player which brings out the best in my teammates around me. I'm always working on my own or with my coaches to improve my balance and creativity along with my tactical and technical skills. Watching films and games are learning methods that I enjoy using them to gain awareness of different styles of soccer. By watching others, I learn new techniques that I can implement elevating my game of soccer and raising my team up.
My love for learning is the same from the field to the classroom. Maintaining a 4.0 is very important because I believe grades are a reflection of responsibility and being responsible is a pivotal trait to hold. Having good grades allows me to focus completely on soccer when I'm on the field which allows me to be a better player. I balance soccer by volunteering with the girl scouts as well as being a camp counselor for military kids where I serve as a state representative on the Georgia Military Youth board. I am very proud to have a great grandfather, grandfather and father, who still serves, that are all veterans of foreign wars.
