Personal Statement

After traveling and going to all my older brother's soccer games and practices, I found my interest for soccer. I began playing soccer at the age of five, at the indoor league near my house. That was where I found my love and passion of having the ball at my feet. After three years of playing indoor I began to play outdoor with an all boys team. Being the only girl on an all boys team taught me to work harder and to be more physically and tactically dominant than my opponent.  My family is my biggest support system, without them I wouldn't be who I am today. With my club team we have become league champions on back to back seasons and we were national champions last summer. I have been the varsity girls soccer captain for the past two high school seasons. I was awarded best defensive player of the year my freshmen year. I want to be able to continue pursuing my passion and love for this sport in the next level of competition.
