My name is Chyenne (Chy) Mayfield and I’ve been playing soccer since I was 3 years old. I currently attend Villa Rica High School and I am playing for 2008 Southern Soccer Association (SSA) on their Girls Academy League team. I am a strong center back, being able to play left and right but, I have also been requested to play offensive positions by a few coaches. My strength and aggressiveness allows me to be a versatile player. I love playing on the field because it is much more than just a ball and goals. It’s about the mentality you have and how you push yourself to finish the game, allowing your mind to escape where all that matters is what's on the field. It’s a sport that challenges my mental and physical abilities. My favorite part of the game is proving to myself that I can overcome anything. With battling ACL reconstructive surgery and coming back stronger than ever, I have a need and passion to be on the field and play the game I love. I am very passionate about soccer and my goal is to play on a D1 Women's soccer team. I also focus on academics and carry a 4.3 weighted GPA in all Honors and AP Classes. I want to earn a degree in sports medicine in hopes to become a sports medicine doctor. I aim to be challenged on the field and in the classroom.
