Personal Statement
My goal is to play at a women's soccer Division I college where I can enjoy the balance of playing high-level competitive soccer, while also getting a top-tier education. I also hope to one day represent my college and country as a member on the US Women’s National Team.
I feel I can be a valuable asset and impact player on any women's soccer Division I college team because I have been exposed to and trained in all positions of competitive play; currently specializing in offensive responsibilities, (i.e., striker/center forward) requiring ball control to receive passes and retain possession, winning high or long balls, passing, scoring, and creating scoring opportunities for my teammates.
I'm also very technical; skilled in offensive techniques, including dribbling, passing, heading, shielding, and striking. I'm skilled with both right and left foot. I have excellent timing and anticipation, positioning, and reading the game. I am very fast and strong.
Many collegic coaches have commented that I move well, creating good passing options for my teammates, especially with through balls with my diagonal runs from behind; making it very difficult for opposing defenders to track me throughout the game. I have been told that my best attributes are that I have a Great work ethic and a relentless attitude and never gives up on a play. This is the way I approach everything in life including my academics, which is one of the things I believe sets me apart from other student athletes.
