Personal Statement
Aloha! My name is Logan Kashima and I am from Kauaʻi, Hawaiʻi. I have been playing soccer since I was 5 years old. I am a boarder student at Kamehameha Schools at Kapālama Campus. I play for the Leahi Premier ʻ04 girls soccer team, a club soccer team on Oʻahu, Hawaiʻi. Playing this sport from a young age has allowed me to develop a strong connection and love with the game. And because of this, a goal I have set for myself is to continue playing at the college level. I have realized the focus, determination, and effort needed to go forward with the process and I am willing to give my all to achieve these goals.
Academics are very much important to me as well. As a high school border student & a three-sport athlete (soccer, track, cross-country), I know the importance of staying dedicated and focused on both schoolwork and sports. My academic goals moving forward to college is to find the right environment for me that allows me to feel comfortable, to stay focused, and an area that can continually inspire and push me to do better and reach my goals. Not only do I want to be able to develop and improve in my work ethic from being on a college team, but I also want to be able to make a positive impact on the program as well.
