Hi, my name is Kelsey Shintaku. I attend Punahou School, an elite Hawaii academic institution, and maintain a perfect 4.0 GPA. I think my greatest academic accomplishment is playing two club sports (basketball and soccer), participating in the Hawaii All-State Marching Band and Hawaii ODP travel team while maintaining a 4.0 GPA.
I would like to continue my competitive soccer career into college. If you viewed my profile video, you will see I am a creative technical player that can play all attacking positions. All the highlight clips (except one) came from my two most recent national tournaments and two Spring 2017 games. The one older clip was from a few years ago when I scored against the #1 ranked club team in the nation, which we tied 1-1. I've played in many different systems and formations and feel I've prepared myself with the skills to adapt to any style of play. I have a positive attitude on and off the field and love constructive criticism. If you have comments about my profile video, please contact me because I am always interested to hear what I can improve on.
Most of my recent club coaches are head/assistant coaches at D1 and D2 colleges. The resume at the end of the profile video specifies the colleges. Please feel free to contact my club coach, Ashley O'Brien Heidelberger, for more information about me. Her email is ashley.obrien18 @gmail.com and phone number is (860) 539-9762.
I get a lot of quality feedback from my current and former coaches and will be working hard at those things to make sure I will be ready to play for you in 2020.
Thank you for taking the time to read my personal statement. I hope to hear from you soon.
