I am Malia Brost, a sophomore, class of 2021 at Hawaii Preparatory Academy (HPA). I am a Dean's List student athlete with a 3.92 GPA. I play U19 soccer and I plan to be a collegiate student athlete and plan to study Real Estate, Design, Business and continue playing soccer.
I lived most of my life in Eugene, Oregon, where I attended Spanish Immersion schools from 1st through 4th grade. My family moved to Waimea (Kamuela), Hawaii, just prior to my 5th grade school year. My parents wanted to immerse my older brother and I in the Hawaiian culture, as we are part Hawaiian with a deep and unique Hawaiian ancestry through my mom's side of the family. HPA is a renowned private school where I was immediately accepted as a student athlete.
I enjoy dancing Hula and have competed in several competitions. I have continued my fluency and study of Spanish, I played high school volleyball, and run cross country and track as well. I have over 12 years of club soccer experience; as a starting center mid, my high school team won the 2018, 2019 and 2020 D2 Hawaii State Championship. I love learning and competing in sports.
