"Success is peace of mind attained only through self-satisfaction in knowing you made the effort to do the best of which you`re capable." -John Wooden. Throughout my soccer career, I have had to face a lot of diversity. In my U13 club season, I barely got any playing time and this was hard for me to go from starting and playing the whole game to sitting the bench and playing a couple minutes. I asked my coach what I could do for more playing time and she said that I had to work on my foot skills and conditioning. I spent the rest of that season practicing 20 to 30 minutes after practice when everyone left, running sprints, doing ladders, and drills from practice that I found challenging for foot skills. By the time Idaho State Cup rolled around, I was starting and playing the entire game. I learned more from this season than any other in my career. The biggest thing I learned is the importance of grit and perseverance for personal success and that I can`t rely on talent alone. I am a high achiever by nature and I love the game of soccer. I can promise that I will give 100% of my effort and never give up. I believe that I could be a great addition to any program.
