Personal Statement

Dear Prospective Coach,

Hello, my name is Morgan Christensen.  I am a junior at Highland Senior High school in Pocatello, Idaho.  I am 5.10 and weigh 140 pounds.  I play attacking mid but my other positions are defensive mid, forward, and wing.  I am right foot dominant.  I have been playing soccer since I was four years old and my love for the sport has grown throughout my life.  I love to pass and create opportunities for my whole team by being a pivot in the middle, attacking through the middle, or sending balls through to my forwards.  I have a respect for the game and extensive soccer IQ but am always willing to learn more about the sport from others.  I am extremely coachable and work hard throughout every play.  I am also very competitive and will do anything to help my team win.  I pride myself on being a leader for my team, setting an example for my teammates and for younger players.  Another passion I have is learning.  I love school and, due to the quarantine, miss going to school every day to learn something new.  I have continued to work hard with online learning but it is not the same as learning from my teachers daily.  Going to college and continuing my education has been a lifelong goal and I would love to attend a school where I could do that and play the game I love.  I work out a minimum of three times per week with a trainer but, when I am preparing for a season, I lift every day.  My strength is very important to me because I like to be aggressive on the field and able to compete regardless of my opponent.  My family and friends are very important to me and I try to spend my time outside of soccer and school being with them and making memories.  I have a very strong support system that pushes me to be better and encourages my education.  I may be a quiet person off the field but I am a voice everyone can hear and rely on on-the-pitch.  I know that if I work hard enough I can make a great addition to a college soccer team while obtaining the education I need.  Thank you for taking the time and for your consideration.  I would love to talk to you about my history, skills, and goals.

Respectfully,

Morgan Christensen
