Lorena Jaimes '21 Recruiting Profile

My name is Lorena Jaimes. I come from the Town of Cicero that is found adjacent to the West Side of Chicago. As a predominantly Latinx and immigrant neighborhood, my community has taught the value of hard work and dedication. These are two values I carry with me on and off the field. Coming from a lower socioeconomic background has shown me to look for opportunities to better myself. School and soccer have been the avenues I have chosen to better myself. Soccer has helped me develop into a responsible, reliable, and trustworthy young woman. Soccer has shown me to never underestimate myself and always give my all in any task that presents itself to me. As a proud first-generational student, I will pursue a degree in social work and upon graduation I plan to give back to the communities, that like mine, have been neglected for too long. I am grateful for being granted the opportunity to present myself on this platform. I hope to make connections with amazing institutions and explore my opportunities.
