Personal Statement
I have loved the game of soccer since I was four years old. At the age of seven, my coach at the time asked me to try out the goalie position and I wasn't so sure at first. Once I realized the power of that position and the joy it brought me, there was no going back. I started playing goalie competitively at nine and playing soccer year-round. Soccer is just who I am. It’s part of me. I am dedicated to the game and it has helped shape me into the person I am today. The competition, the grit, being part of a soccer family, and the confidence it builds in me, makes every practice or win or loss worth it.
I give 100% on and off the field in everything I do. I am able to balance five days a week of soccer, a job at a pizza place, and as a soccer referee. I am involved in clubs at school and volunteer in my community. I also dedicate myself to taking academics seriously with all honors, AP classes and earning a 4.0 GPA.
I am a truly passionate player who puts my heart on the field. My defenders are my lifeline. They trust me and I treat them with the utmost respect. My coaches know they can count on me to be the leader of the team and have told me over the years that I am their most dedicated player and very coachable. I am looking for a university where I can continue my academic interest in engineering and advance my athletic career and ultimately finding my new soccer family. I would love to connect to see if I am the right fit for your program.
