Hello! My name is Kayleigh (KJ) Sommer. I am 5'8", I weigh 125 pounds and my 40 is 5.1 seconds. I will be a part of the 2016 graduating class. My strongest positions are defense and outside midfield, but I am versatile and can play any position as a field player. I have participated in the Illinois ODP program for five years. As a freshman at East Peoria Community High School I was a varsity starter and I earned Offensive Player of the Year with my high school team. I also earned First Team All Conference honors in the Mid-Illini conference. My sophomore year I earne.d the same level of honors. In the 2015 spring season I played with a U18 boys team I have been playing club soccer for 8 yrs the past 5 years have been with Illinois Fusion.
I am interested in a college that has a broad academic offering. I would prefer to attend a school in the southern or midwestern region. Financial assistance is going to be very important to me in the college selection process. Ideally I would like to be at a program where I would make a big contribution early in my career.
