Personal Statement
I am an attacking midfielder who can score goals, find teammates in space and still cover the defensive end of the field. I have a history of excelling on the field and in the classroom. I believe hard work, dedication and preparation are keys to success both on and off the field. My qualities will be an asset to any team looking for a hard working player who is dedicated to raising the bar of their women's soccer program.
I started playing soccer when I was in kindergarten on an AYSO team we named the Blue Dragonflowers and I have loved the sport ever since. I played for AYSO for a few years and then tried out for my first travel team - AYSO Extra in 4th grade. AYSO Extra soon became Wizard FC. I am a firm believer in loyalty to your team and still currently play for Wizard FC. Additionally, I have been playing Varsity soccer all three years at my high school, Hinsdale Central.
My experience playing soccer over the years has been phenomenal. I have been able to play against top competition across the United States and Europe including Sweden, England, and Italy. All of this hard work and experience has prepared me to be a great soccer player at the next level. I am a very competitive player who is always working hard to help my team win. My teammates and I play hard for each other and I look for that in a college team, as well.
I hold myself to high standards, both on and off the field, and work hard to reach my goals. Excelling in the classroom is as important to me as excelling on the field. I have been on the Dean's List every semester of high school while taking multiple Honors and AP classes. I have not decided what I want to major in in college but I have interest in pursuing a career in Education, Business or Physical Therapy.
My goal is to join a college team where I can add my talents and work ethic to improve the success of the soccer program. My work ethic, preparation and attacking style of play allow me to be a valuable teammate and improve the success of the team.
