Personal Statement

I started playing soccer when I was 9 years old after wanting to play a team sport rather than continue to compete in gymnastics which I consider to be more of an individual sport.  I wanted that feeling of being on a team and winning together rather than winning just for myself.  While I still like to watch gymnasts and believe they are phenomenal athletes I love the comradery and support of having teammates chasing the same end result..

I have a strong work ethic both on and off the field.  My grades are very important to me and my first priority.  I believe good study habits are what will lead me to be a better athlete by teaching me off the field how to prioritize, strategize, learn and excel. I play every game to win but in a defeat I can always walk away knowing I did my best because I value effort as much as I do skill.  Both my current and former coaches will tell you I am very coachable and open to new positions that they feel both I and the team would benefit from playing.  My teachers have always said I am a model student whom they can always count on me to do my work on time and with my best effort.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
