Hi, my name is Madalynn Eatmon (Maddie). I'm a Freshman at Northview Highschool where I play soccer as a defensive starter. At the beginning of the 2022 season, I was in a center midfield position on JV. After almost half of a season, I switched to defense where I found my home on the field. I quickly moved up to my Varsity starting position due to hard work, determination, perseverance, and very encouraging coaches and teammates who always push me to do my best.
I've been playing soccer on an actual team ever since I was four years old. Even before that, though, I was constantly outside in the yard kicking around a ball. I've always had a huge passion for soccer and wanted to play at the collegiate level. The soccer field always has been and still is my safe place; I began to realize that more and more after the hardships that I've had to endure within the past year.
What I believe that sets me apart from other players is my outgoing personality, passion, and determination. As well as, my ability to learn quickly, ask questions, and follow directions. I'm a very fun loving person, but I also know when it's time to be serious and buckle down.
Soccer is very important to me, but school comes first. My entire life, I've been an A/B Honor Roll student with good attendance. Although my grades have suffered this past year due to family issues, I'm finally getting myself back onto the right track and plan on staying there. I'm not sure what I want to do with my life after high school, but I'm very interested in art as well as psychology. I'm leaning more towards a career in therapy or behavioral analysis.
In short, soccer and school are my life, and I'll continue to work as hard as possible to achieve my goals in the real world and on the field.
