My name is Jayden Emenhiser, I have been playing soccer for the past ten years, where I have played between recreational, travel and high school soccer. Within these leagues I have had the opportunity to play and practice with players that have pushed me into the individual I am. In terms of my collegiate goals and aspirations, I would like to be able to play at a college that offers a soccer program and educational atmosphere that is motivational and driven. Therefore, I find my academic and athletic relationship to cohere in many ways, from my performance in the classroom, in extracirricular activities, and sports-related events, I strive to be involved and encouraging in every aspect.
I feel that not only helping others on and off the field, but being a team-player comes first. I aim to make every practice a chance to better my technique and field outlook, while learning and applying those new skills to the game itself. In doing so, this creates a more beneficial practice that will push players to be their best during practice and games. I feel that I'm a good candidate for their team being that I am a encouraging and push myself 100% at every chance for the betterment of the team.
I find that my perseverance and integrity make me different from other recruits, considering character, athletics, and academics. In terms of character, I'm a very honest and driven person who aims to make every mistake a learning event, teaching myself to accept that I was wrong and being able to change accordingly. Therefore, I choose to push myself past barriers and try to beat the extremes that I encounter, whether that be experiences in the classroom or in other extracirricular activities, such as FFA, COACH Kids, and 3-D Archery. In comparison of athletics and academics, I find myself constantly taking each step further, where I excel in the classroom holding a 3.96/4 GPA and on the field playing over 50 games in the past 3 high school seasons. My academic interests include majoring in Medical Imaging, specializing in both OB/GYN and ultrasound. Soccer has taught me the value of life skills and learning about your character, both inside and out.
