2022 Highlights My name is Julia Tiemann, and I'm a class of '23 dual sport athlete and student at East Central High School in St. Leon, Indiana. I have been playing club soccer since I was 7 years old, and desire to continue playing soccer in college. I'm pursuing the right mix of challenging academics, enriching environment and competitive athletics. I've been a varsity starter for my HS team since my freshman year, and have received numerous awards so far including All-Conference first team all 3 years, and ISCA Top Team award the last 2. I also received the "Trojan" award which is given to the player who demonstrates desired characteristics of a model student athlete. My coach listed that I'm a leader who is hardworking, dedicated, and always willing to help other players. We advanced to the regional finals this past season, finishing in the elite 8. My club team is ranked #2 in the state, and we play in both the National League PRO division and the National League GLC division. I'm a 2004 playing on the 2003 team for my club. I'm ranked in the top 5% of my class academically, carry a 4.2 GPA, am a member of the national honor society and received the All-State Academic award. I also play varsity basketball as the starting point guard, was named to the all-conference team, and received the "Hustle and Toughness" award. We are a highly ranked team in the top division (4A), and have advanced to the regional round of the post season tournament all 3 of my high school years so far. I thoroughly enjoy both sports and believe that each helps me be a better athlete in the other.
