My name is Kamdyn Galey, a 2025 attacking and defensive midfielder. Coaches have said my soccer strengths include my decision making, field vision, aggressiveness, composure under pressure, communication and attitude. My goals are to graduate with an honors diploma and continue my education and soccer career at the collegiate level. I am open to any level of play, and I desire a school that will challenge me athletically and academically with a major in Education.
I have been playing soccer since I was six years old and strive to be a leader on and off the soccer field. I enjoy the competitive environment of soccer and the ability to work alongside my teammates. I play in the GA for Cincinnati United Premier (CUP) on the CUP 06 Gold team. My club team is ranked #2 in the state of Ohio, and we play in GA events and showcases, the National League GLC Club division, and qualified for USYS National Championship in 2022. As a sophomore and junior I played on the East Central High School varsity team where we were the Conference and Sectional Champs and also received the MVP Offensive Player!
I am ranked in the top 10% of my class academically with a 4.19 GPA and take honors and dual-credit college courses (Biology, Geometry, Spanish, and English), allowing me to achieve college credit. This year I am also a Cadet Student Teacher, where I get to assist a teacher and create lesson plans in the elementary school. Academics are extremely important to me, which is why I have been able to maintain good grades as well as play high-level, competitive soccer. For extracurricular activities, I am a member of the show choir, received a gold medal for state in FCCLA to qualify for nationals, gold medal in the Indiana State School Music Association (ISSMA) competitions, am a Young Life leader and active in my church. In the winter, I also enjoy skiing, playing Ginga and Futsal, and work part-time at the ski slopes near my home. Friends and family would describe me as honest, generous, ambitious, energetic, and creative.
My parent is a faculty member in a University that participates in Tuition Exchange, so I am also interested in schools that participate in Tuition Exchange as an opportunity for playing soccer in college. I am looking to continue my education and soccer career at the collegiate level and desire to find a school that will be a great fit academically and athletically.
