Personal Statement
-
As a 4-year varsity player for volleyball and football teams in Brent International School Subic, I strive to not only improve my personal goals such as becoming a better goalie, but I want to be a part of a team that I can call my family. I strongly believe great team support and relationship would aspire motivation and hard work that could lead to the championships. I strongly believe that I would be a great candidate for the team because of my persistence for the sport, through my teammates and coaches, I always push myself in drills and especially during games and tournaments. I’ve had passed injuries during the yearly soccer tournaments such as ISAC (International School Activity Conferences) , but I would still push myself even in pain to never let down the coaches and my teammates. I was even selected to be apart of The Asia Pacific Activities Conference that will be held in either Shanghai or Vietnam this year. I am a very coachable and open-minded athlete that will approach any issue or new drills in any form to not only help myself but the team itself. As a goalie I am not afraid of the ball and any form of contact, I will go an extra step to make sure I am the one getting the soccer ball. For my academics, I studied in an international school in Asia which allows me to adapt to any situation easily since I come from Honduras. In my Highschool (in the Philippines), I underwent the International Baccalaureate which is a rigorous academic learning program, which allowed me to manage my time for school work and my extra curriculums such as sports and other clubs. As an athlete, I can balance my school and my sports life properly and I always will take an extra step to become the best athlete for the team and the University.
