Personal Statement
Learning from observations and inspections has come naturally for me, as I have been the youngest in my class for as long as I can remember. Being behind everyone by a year, I seldom had a chance to take charge or lead a group of people; I was always observing. However, I believe such labels don’t confine me, but motivate me to become better! I have played soccer competitively for over 6 years, and my ambition has allowed me to become a part of the high school varsity team even as a freshman. Competing with older students and athletes who have much more experience and wisdom to present has always challenged me to push myself to match their standards, whether it be for academics or sports. Being a quick learner, this went hand in hand—it enhanced my experience as a student athlete, as it introduced me to many challenges athletically.
Furthermore, I am an International IB student who is also a part of the National Honor Society, Student Council, Athletic Council, and the Junior National Unification Advisory Council, while also being the student leader of Global Issues Network. Taking part in numerous extracurricular activities during this period of time while maintaining a high GPA is incredibly challenging, but working efficiently, managing my time well, and my ambition to strive allow me to make it through.
