Personal Statement
I knew from a young age that soccer was going to be a big part of my life. I started loving the sport at age 5 and still love it to this day. As I grew up, I began to learn all the different techniques and skills that come with playing this wonderful sport. For instance, I learned to not work harder, but smarter. I learned to work well with others and to listen to what they have to say. I learned to always take criticism from coaches and to fix my mistakes. My motto is to be the best I can be in everything I do. Anything from school to volunteering I do with my best foot forward. My favorite part about soccer is the lifelong relationships you make along the way. Soccer is how I found my best friends.
I want to be an elementary teacher and change the lives of children for the better. I love kids and have always wanted to be around them. I want to show them that they can do anything they set their minds to.
What sets me apart from others is my ability to think on my feet at a moments notice. No matter how fast I am, there will be a girl who is faster. I think outside the box on every possible angle and act on it. The team effort has to be totally and effortlessly the same throughout. It takes a team to score a goal, not one person. A good team doesn’t have two or three players that are phenomenal. A good team has everyone on the same page and on the same goal. Which is to do their very best every match, every practice, and every workout. I only wish to find the college that suits me so that I may put words into actions.
