Hi! My name is Mia Young and I am going to graduate high school with the class of 2023. I have played soccer since I can remember and have grown up in a very athletic family who loves to be active and constantly watch and participate in sports activities. I am currently playing as an attacking midfielder on both my high school and club team as my main position, but am often moved around throughout the field where I am needed.
One of my favorite things about playing soccer has been the community that comes along with playing on a team. I have made so many friends from my own teams and other teams that I have played against. Good team chemistry is very important to me and I enjoy getting to know my coaches and teammates on and off the field. I hope to play soccer at the collegiate level and expand this soccer community, my soccer knowledge, and have the opportunity to play at the highest level I can achieve.
Athletically, as well as competing in soccer throughout the whole year, playing indoor in the summer and winter, I participate in my high schools cross country team in the fall, and have made it to state two out of my three years competing. Running cross country has helped me build my endurance for soccer.
Academically, I currently have a 4.0 and am hoping to maintain that as I finish my last three semesters of high school. I am enrolled in honors classes as well as two AP classes. I am also very involved at my high school, as I am in the student council and multiple clubs including National Honors Society, Spanish Honors Society, and Feminist Club. I am also a participant in the yearbook staff and sing in my schools choir program.
I look forward to continuing my soccer career playing and attending a college that will push me both academically and as an athlete.
Thanks for reading my profile and I hope to hear from you soon!
