Personal Statement
I have always believed that soccer is equally physical as well as mental. On the physical side, I always take care of myself by eating right, getting enough sleep, and practicing consistently: whether it means taking the ball out in the yard to practicing or running early in the morning. On the mental side, hard work is my middle name. I have always been someone who keeps going even when things are tough. My favorite thing that my coach ever said to me was my freshman year while we were conditioning was, "this is where you get stronger." Ever since then that has been my motto and I know that the mind will quit a long time before the body ever will. You may see me struggle but you will not see me quit. I plan to play in college while my overall goal is to continue on to medical school to become an obstetrician and gynecologist. I'm excited to meet new coaches and build onto my soccer career!
Just a quick note about my low GPA last year: I had a illness during my sophomore year and I missed about 2-3 months of school. Towards the end of the year I was able to pull my core classes up to A’s and B’s, but my electives is what brought my GPA down.
