Personal Statement

My primary collegiate goal is to obtain a Bachelors degree while playing collegiate soccer.  My second goal is to continue my education after I obtain my Bachelors degree either for my Masters or a PHD.

I am extremely STRONG.  I work out with 135+lbs on the bench press,  squat 270+lbs, and Leg Press 500+lbs.  At the same time, I am VERY FAST.  My PR in the 55m=8.02, 100m=12.7.

What makes me a great candidate for any collegiate soccer team is that I am a true team player.  I lead by example by never missing a practice, always maintaining a positive attitude and treating teammates with respect.  Due to my athletic ability, my soccer coaches have used me in all positions on the pitch.  When we need goals, my coaches have moved me to forward.  When we are protecting a lead, I slide back as a defender. I have even successfully played goalie when our goalie was injured.  I will do anything to help our team be successful!

What makes me different from other athletes is that I am focused on academics first.  It is important to obtain an excellent education to be financially independent and to be a positive member of society.  Currently I have a 4.0 GPA and expect to continue this GPA through High School.

Sports keeps me focused and organized, with weight training 5:45-7:00a M-W-F,  track practice every weekday 330pm-530pm, pole vaulting M-W-F 6pm-8pm, and Select Soccer practice  Tues and Thursdays 7pm-830pm.  I also attend public school weekdays  8am-230pm.

I have been recruited by and played for three different Select Teams. I have made great friends and have been liked by all my teammates on all three teams.  I was  team captain on Winchester Kentucky Football Club 99 Blue for three years.
