My name is Madison Trauth. I am Junior (Class of 2022) at St. Mary’s Dominican High School in New Orleans, LA. I am a 5`5 right footed player. I am primarily an attacking center midfielder. I handle most of the set pieces for my high school and club teams. I pride myself on my first touch, field vision, creativity, passing ability, being a two-footed player and winning balls in the air. While I frequently create for my teammates, I have always also had a knack for scoring in a variety of ways. I believe I read the game well and enjoy helping my teammates make adjustments when necessary. I thoroughly enjoy playing against great competition and look forward to the challenges college soccer will bring.
I started for Dominican’s varsity soccer team since about the midway point of my 8th grade season. As a freshman, I was named to the 1st Team All-State Freshman Team and the 1st Team All-District Team. We have been a playoff team each of my three years at Dominican. Last season, we earned the 4th seed in the playoffs and advanced to the semi-finals losing to the eventual champions. I fully expect a state championship this season or next season or both. As for club, I have played for the LA Fire 04G Red (top) team my entire club career. We have accomplished a lot as a team over the years. We have won every State Cup we have played in except for one, which was extremely disappointing and should not have happened. We played in the USYSA National League for two seasons as a result of winning the SRPL Central Division two times. We also won the US Club Gulf State Premier League the only year we played in that league. We have finished in the top three the last two years in the Mid-South Conference, but last year we would likely have finished first or second if not for the Covid shortened season.
I am hoping to find a school that will challenge me athletically and academically. Currently, I hope to become a Physical Therapist, so I will likely major in kinesiology or biology.
