Personal Statement

Hi:

My name is Kristan Large, and I am a goalkeeper from Lafayette, Louisiana. I play for Dynamo Juniors and have been on the Louisiana ODP team for 5 years. My best skills are reaction saves, good strong hands and collecting, and communication and directing the defense. I am also physically fit and very strong.

We do not have any clubs in Louisiana in the ECNL or DA, so I do not have that opportunity. But our team plays in good tournaments against these teams. We have been to the Mediterranean International Cup, Las Vegas Players Showcase and others. Our technical director has a UEFA Pro license and coached at FC Barcelona for many years. So I get the best training possible.

Soccer is my passion, but attending an outstanding college is first. I balance academics and soccer very well. I have an unweighted GPA of 3.9 and a 30 ACT superscore. Almost all of my classes are AP or honors and I take all that are available at my high school.

Along with this I was able to make Second-Team All District, and was the Varsity MVP for the 2019-2020 High School soccer season.
