Personal Statement
I started playing soccer in grade school. Since then my passion for the game began to grow more and more each season. When high school approached it was my goal to play at the varsity level as a freshman. My largest component is the determination I have to become a better player. I started playing keeper my freshman year after playing left outside mid. I fell in love with every aspect of goalkeeping. However, without my team, I would never have been able to be the kind of player I am today. I have strong ball-handling skills and am quick and accurate with my placement.
During the summer I train with a strength coach, private trainer, and I complete my schools' training packet. I work at a local soccer camp at a private school in my area, which allows me to help kids of all ages become stronger keepers. At school, my varsity coach has me train the JV players whenever available.
I would like to pursue my love for the game at a school that is the best fit academically and athletically. I am looking for a team that is more about what is on the scoreboard at the end of the day. Academically I want a challenge, I want to be pushed as a student-athlete. I'm looking forward to finding a school where I can continue to build up everyone's morale around me!
