Personal Statement
Hello. My name is Brooke Blockler and I am currently a junior at Dexter Regional High School. Freshman year, I moved to Dexter from Old Town to be in a better community and closer to family. Starting junior year off with a good start for the team was an understatement, we are currently 3-2-3 in the season. I am a starter for the varsity team at left full-back. I did play keeper for a few years, in which I trained with RiverCity in Bangor throughout the season. This year alone, I have accomplished more than I have in the years that I have been playing. I joined Central Maine United in Waterville to further expand my training to more than the season itself and I have made more connections with my teammates and coaches. I believe that with a good environment and coaching staff, then anyone is able to learn how to play soccer. I wasn't raised with just playing soccer, I played multiple different sports including field hockey and basketball. Through these, I've learned that I as a person need to adapt and take in everything I need to learn to better myself and the team. In the end, I'm hoping to get recruited to a school that would help both my athletic ability and my career passion.
