Personal Statement
Growing up I didn’t play much of sports. My parents weren’t really into sports either and never really exposed me to it as a kid. I perused music most of my childhood. When I reached middle school I realized I wanted to do something different... something more challenging, I began practicing soccer in middle school and ended up falling in love with this sport, soccer has taught me many life lessons and because of that, I’ve grown stronger each and every day. I plan to continue this sport throughout my life.
Entering high school I made my junior varsity team freshman year. In sophomore year I also made my junior varsity team and was told I'd get moved up towards the end of the season, but during the season I, unfortunately, ended up getting a concussion and missed half the season, this was a huge set back for me for I wasn't able to play soccer for a while. I decided to overcome this battle, and I worked very hard and as a result, I made varsity my junior year of high school.
