Personal Statement
Hello my name is Maya Malouf, I am 16 years old and have been playing soccer my whole life. My parents have been with me every step of they way and they have been a big influence and help during soccer. They have always encouraged me to do better and stuck with me through the hard times. When I was just 3 years old my father introduced me to the sport. It was so much fun and ever since then I just kept playing. Throughout the years that I have been playing soccer I have learned how to communicate better with people. I have also learned how to be a leader and what is does to impact the team. For high school academically y I am trying to work as hard as I can to get the best grades possible, so my goal that I'm trying to reach by the end of my High school career is to to end with mostly As and Bs. I am not taking any honor roll classes yet so my goal for the next two years is too be able to make it into those classes. There have been many hardships to get to where I am now. Soccer is a big competition where I live and it always has been. When I first started to play club soccer, it was very hard for me to move up. Since I loved the sport so much I trained and trained until I reached my goal of making the team I wanted. The same thing happened to me freshman year in high school. I tried out for soccer and made JV, but after a couple games I had worked so much to perform my best and that was very good for me because I got moved up to Varsity. To get to these positions in my life I had top use my great communication skills. I am very good and communication on and off the feild to players and coaches. As I am very good at communicating on the field, I also have one thing about me that stands out and makes me special. The one thing that I love to use as my secret weapon is my speed and that has helped me a lot throughout the years. I am looking for colleges that can suit me academically and let me play the one sport I am so passionate about.
Thank You,
Maya
