I have been playing soccer since I was three years old. I still enjoy soccer as much as I did back when I first got to kick the ball. In 4th grade, I decided I wanted to play soccer in college. As I have matured, it has been important to me that I find a school that has programs that match my academic and athletic intensity.
I am a 2 year varsity member (Freshman 2020, Sophomore 2021) and I have played club soccer for Duxbury United Football Club, NEFC, and currently Liverpool FC IA MA. I also play for the Olympic Development Program (ODP) Massachusetts state teams for 2019-20, 2020-21, 2021-22 and the ODP Region I Team 2021.
On the field I try to lead by example and through communication. I am a very physical player. Also, I am always working hard; sprinting to every ball and going in hard for every challenge. As a defender and someone who has developed a soccer IQ through great coaching over the years, I can see the entire field and can see what plays provide the best options. I use this vantage point to help direct my teammates giving our team better opportunities.
Academically, I work very hard. I have maintained a GPA of 3.9 or higher since entering high school with most of my classes being honors or advanced placement. My education is my job and comes first. For this reason, it’s important to me to find a school with both a great soccer program and is academically competitive.
My family has always been committed to contributing to the community we live in and I do my part by refereeing for Duxbury Youth Soccer, student coaching for Duxbury Youth Lacrosse, a member of Duxbury High School Student Council and a member of the local high school chapter of Habitat for Humanity. Just recently I was elected by administrators and school members to become a cabinet member for the Duxbury Public School’s Superintendent Board.
I believe that my work ethnic, leadership skills, and goals are beneficial for a collegiate soccer team and new student on a campus focused on academic achievement.
