- 2020 Highlights
Personal Statement
When I was younger, soccer started as a something to do, but it has developed into a life-long passion. Watching some of the strongest women in the world on the field has inspired me to want to play at the highest level I can. As my role models before me, I strive to be a leader on and off the field. I am dedicated to both my studies and to each one of my teammates. I challenge myself by taking all Honors classes and I am also an active member of my school community, as the Sophmore Class Secretary; Key Club Member; Women Empowerment Group; Pink Ribbon Club; and Med-Sci Club. Besides my academic achievements, I am most proud of my American Legion Award, given to the student that “demonstrates strong qualities of character and good citizenship” and the Brian Boduch Athletic Sportsmanship Award, given to the “male and female student that demonstrates excellence in sportsmanship, athletic ability, and being a strong teammate”. Competition drives me to be better and bounce back even after a loss. I enjoy the learning process of the game; understand the need for mental toughness; and have the ability to learn from my mistakes. I'm a fearless keeper, coming off my line when called for, and not afraid of contact. Soccer has helped me learn valuable lessons of strength, challenge, weakness, determination and drive. My goal is to further develop these traits at the college level, while continuing my education. As a 2023 Goalkeeper, my current interests are Biomedical Engineering and Technologies, and Biological Sciences.
