My name is Caroline Shields, and I am a 16-year-old rising senior. I have played soccer since I can remember, and have never lost the love for the sport. I am a strong leader on and off the field. I motivate and encourage my teammates to strive for greatness in whatever they do. I am a three-sport varsity high school athlete: fall soccer, winter track and spring lacrosse. Outside of high school sports, I play winter indoor soccer, spring travel soccer and various summer leagues. Although I love running track and playing lacrosse, I want to pursue soccer at a higher level in college. I am a high B to A student in all Honors and AP Classes. I am 23rd in my class of 130, and am a part of the National Math, English and Honor Societies where I am the secretary. I am also the secretary of my class. One of my other passions is playing the cello. I have played since I was in fourth grade, and have performed in my orchestra at school as well as the Cape Youth Symphony outside of school. My main goal is to find a school where I am able to thrive and excel both academically and athletically. I would like to create meaningful connections with amazing people in the soccer world, and find the school that fits my academic and athletic aspirations.
