All my life I have played soccer, and I have loved every minute of it. I have always been a leader on every team that I have been on. This year as a Junior, I was voted to be Captain of my Varsity soccer team. This season in particular has proven to be challenging as a Captain on the team because the Head Coach of my team resigned just minutes before the whistle blew for the first game of the season. From that point forward it was a challenge; going into a fresh season with no Coach, motivating my teammates, and still maintaining high hopes of success was not easy. We have a very talented team but it was unsettling to start the season without a Coach. I knew then, that I had to step up and take control of practices and help guide my teammates during games. About midway through the season, the other Captains and I were able to elect a new Coach for our team. From that point on, our season has only gotten better, and has turned out to be the most promising ever. My team finished the regular season with a record of 16-1-1, and we are now the number one seed going into playoffs!
